Technology Summary

Wind Turbines convert wind speed into direct current electricity. Much like Photovoltaics this DC power can then be either stored in batteries for back up power or converted into AC for immediate use or to feed back in to the electrical grid where possible. Some site considerations are yearly average wind speed for the region, tested wind-speed for the site, possible high wind speed and obstructions which may cause wind turbulence
